Old Presidio Traders

We are a family-owned and operated trading post in Tubac, AZ. Since 1982, we have served customers from around the world. Our shop is known for handmade sterling silver and gold jewelry, as well as a wide range of cultural items. We take pride in offering work that reflects true Native craftsmanship.

Our collection includes handmade jewelry, pawn and vintage pieces, pottery, rugs, baskets, and kachinas. We also carry sand paintings, storyteller figures, and Zuni fetishes. Many visitors also enjoy our large selection of chimes, T-shirts, and Southwest souvenirs.

Pawn jewelry carries a deep story and value. Many of our pieces come from trading posts in Northern Arizona and New Mexico. Local Navajo community members once pawned these items.

Trading posts accept items such as jewelry, tools, saddles, and more as pawns. Most owners return to repay and reclaim their items. Many use pawns as a safe way to store valuables or manage short-term needs.

Pawn contracts usually last about 120 days and can be extended by paying interest. Traders often work with the owner to give them time to reclaim their items. Selling pawned items is not the first choice, as the goal is always to return them to the original owner when possible.

We have built our reputation on clear pricing, fair dealing, and a strong selection. Collectors and visitors trust us because we stay true to the culture behind every piece. Our store continues to grow while keeping the same values we started with.

We are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. all year long. We close only on New Year’s Day, Easter Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Customers can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see new arrivals and updates.
